4-H is a positive youth development program in NL. With a focus on fun and learning, 4-H provides opportunities for youth that will develop skills needed in an ever-changing world. The 4-H program serves all youth ages 6 through 25. Each year 4-H members choose a project and complete it. Through this project work a member develops knowledge and skills in a certain subject manner. A wide variety of projects are available for 4-Hers to learn. Members also develop life skills such as citizenship, cooperation, responsibility, independence, proper environmental practices and financial literacy through project and program work. 4-H NL has a volunteer screening policy and our volunteers are vital to the success of the 4-H Club. In addition, policies and procedures have been developed to ensure that 4-H programs take place in a positive and safe environment. 4-H respects the importance of family and encourage family members to participate in our 4-H events. The more a family is involved in the program, the more
the members will benefit.
